When the #MeToo Movement ignited with fury this past October, it was because victims and survivors made it so– we did not simply awaken with greater understanding. Despite repeated injustices and efforts to silence their voices, victims and survivors continued to speak and fight for progress. They showed up in congressional offices demanding legislative change. They organized and rewrote policy in their workplaces and campuses. They formed support communities in which stories could be safely shared and received. They educated their colleagues and peers. Through it all, victims and survivors accepted the vulnerability. They shouldered the pain knowing that this work needed doing and refusing to wait in idle hope. Among these leaders is the End Rape on Campus team who provided invaluable guidance and challenged us to improve our language and understanding throughout this Debate Pack.
