Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 22, 2026
This is the privacy policy for platformwomen.org. It tells you what the operator of Platformwomen (“we”) collects, how it is used and where to send questions, namely [email protected]. Some readers write about workplaces or health; please leave out names of employers, colleagues and medical details you would rather keep private.
Other organizations involved
Running the site involves third-party services for hosting, security, delivery and email, and where enabled, advertising and embedded media. They receive the data they need to do their job, and some of them operate under their own privacy notices.
Messages, email and forms
If you email [email protected] or use a form where one is offered, we receive your name, email address and message, plus anything you attach. If you write about a workplace or a personal situation, share only what is necessary and avoid naming others. We read it to answer you, to assess corrections or suggestions, and to keep a sensible record of the conversation.
Your browser settings
Most browsers let you refuse or clear cookies. Blocking everything can interfere with how parts of the site behave, and browser settings do not control every method of collection.
When we receive a Global Privacy Control signal or a similar opt-out preference signal, we honor it for advertising and sharing choices to the extent applicable law calls for it. For Platformwomen, the older Do Not Track setting is not recognized in the same way by every service, so it may not change what third parties do.
Measurement, ads and referral links
Small files and scripts such as cookies are used where enabled to support site features, run analytics, display advertising and attribute affiliate referrals. The exact mix in use varies as the site develops.
Signing up for updates
If an email update is available, the address you give is used for those mailings. You can leave at any time using the link in a message, or you can write to [email protected]; a short suppression entry can remain so you are not added again.
Where information is processed
At Platformwomen, providers we use may process information in countries other than your own, where data protection rules can differ. Throughout Platformwomen, where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
Readers under 13
Put simply, we do not target anyone under 13 and we do not knowingly gather data from them. If you suspect a child has submitted details, write to [email protected] and we will investigate and remove anything we should not have.
Requests about your information
Where the law of your location provides, you may be able to ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your information, opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising, and restrict some uses of sensitive information. Email [email protected] to start a request.
Record keeping
Information is kept only as long as reasonably needed: correspondence for as long as the matter is open and a while after, server logs for a limited operational period, and newsletter data until you unsubscribe. On this site, a legal requirement may require longer retention.
Keeping this page current
On Platformwomen, changes to this policy may be made occasionally. At Platformwomen, the date at the top of the page marks the current version, and for material changes we will give any further notice or ask for consent where the law demands it.
Safety of your data
Put simply, reasonable safeguards, both technical and organizational, are used to guard information against loss, misuse and unwanted access. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, which is why we ask you to keep passwords and payment details out of any message.
Visit logs
When a browser asks for a page on platformwomen.org, the servers that deliver it typically record items like your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page and the time of the request.
